did a clean install of window 10, cannot install Realtek HD
after a clean install of Windows 10, I get an install failure message : i have tried compatibility mode, manually updating drivers. Nothing has worked? Any ideas?

thanks for your response, the model is XPS 8700. the realtek drivers worked before the re-install

What model PC? Can't really help without that.
But, if its Win 10 compatible usually Win 10 will install the correct hardware driver or if not the generic, basic function High Definition Audio Codec during install. Sounds like this is an older OptiPlex and not 100% Win 10 compatible.

For an older machine like a XPS-8700, it's better to just let Windows-10 64bit install it's own drivers.
They come from local driver-cache and Windows-Update. You will have a usable set.

I see Dell supports Win 10 on the 8700. Thus the Realtek should install OK.
What did you use to install Win 10? An ISO from Microsoft or some other Win 10?
Do you have any other devices that didn't install? Look at the Device Manager and see if there are any devices with an error. What is listed in the Sound, Video and Game Controllers section. Just list what is there, do not post a screenshot as any photo must be "moderated" before we can view it. All we see is a Triangle, like we see for your original post.

The OEM 10 drivers work fine
Malware infected versions from warez sites will not install.
