BattlePepes.

Which dell computer model do you have and what is the OS installed? Have you added another harddrive to the computer? Please provide all information as to what led to this error. Please post the information on this thread as opposed to a private message.

For me to better assist in troubleshooting, please click my DELL-Jesse L and send me a Private Message with the Dell Service Tag number and your Dell Order number.

You would click my name in blue, then on the next page in the upper right corner, click the words "send private message"

BATTLEPEPES ,

Start the computer and start tapping the F2 key to enter the bios. Once in the bios select 1st boot device as your hard drive. Press F10 to save changes and exit. See if your computer boots into Windows.

If your computer isn't seeing the hard drive then it may need to be replaced. You would then need to reinstall Windows. You can also boot to the Windows disk and run a repair install to see if that works. Information listed below.

BattlePepes,

Click the link below to run the diags on the hard drive. If the hard drive fails you will need to get the hard drive replaced.

It happens as result of a failed Windows or BIOS update or Corrupted or damaged HDD/SDD. For a Dell user I would suggest you to follow these steps:

  • Press power button to boot your PC
  • Press F1, F2, F8, F11 or F12 depending upon your PC, to enter BIOS setup
  • Click on Boot Tab
  • Choose HD as your PCs first option
  • Save and Restart

This can resolve your issue. If you still face the issue then I would suggest you to take help from this external source and resolve the error of reboot and select proper boot device.
