DBAR Error - Dell XPS 13 (9333)

To cut a long story short, I had to reset my laptop. However, now I have my laptop working fine again I am trying to restore my backups on it.

Now my problem. I CAN'T.

Using Dell Back-up And Restore (DBAR) and a handful of other restore methods, I am unable to restore my backup. To be specific, when using DBAR I have uninstalled reinstalled and tested a variety of different versions and encountered the same problem each time.

Which is the program works fine UNTIL I press the restore option. Upon selecting restore backup, the program crashes (screen shot attached). I am al out of ideas as to what could be causing this and would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance!

I'm assuming windows 10 is on the system......

I'd like to suggest you first run Preboot Diagnostic tool to check hardware on the system.

1. Turn off your computer

2. Power on computer, quickly tap the F12 key continuously. You should see the Diagnostic screen. Reports back any error code.

I also like to suggest you run the System file checker. It scan for any corrupted system files that could be causing problems and fix those corrupt files as well.

a) Press Windows key + X key at the same time, select Command prompt (Admin)

b) In the command prompt type the following command: sfc/scannow and press enter

If no corrupted system files were found , then I would suggest you try the following steps:

a) Select Command prompt (Admin)

b) In command prompt, type the following commands and press Enter after each command....

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth

DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

After you have run the commands then I suggest you power off / restart system and then try to run Dell Backup And Recovery again, hopefully it work this time.

Good suggestions by LSUFAN51. Not sure about the versions. Did you uninstall the old ones, reboot, then install version 1.9.2.8, A00?
