Windows 8 on Dell L501X

I also have a Dell xps l501x but after installation of windows 8, i had a blue screen error. Then i was told to restore my windows back on windows 7 Home Premium. Can you share your experience?

I didn't face any such problem and it is still running quite smooth. Just that the lack of drivers leads to disfunction of bluetooth, etc. Apart from that it is perfect!!

Can you tell me that

1." Did you have a clean installation?"

2."While Installing window 8, which option did you pick when it stats " Do you want to keep windows settings, personal data and apps OR personal data OR nothing" ?

I did a clean install replaced win 7 with win 8. I did not keep any thing. But then too windows creates a folder called windows.old in the c drive which you can access for your previous data stored in docs, music, desktop, etc. Just that installed programs are gone.

Still no drivers for L501X. Almost all other models have got the update.

It show's i have to update my Wifi and Bluetooth or uninstall in order to update...Please help

What wireless card and bluetooth card do you have?

Why are we left out? We need to update our laptops too with the reduced cost offer for the first month by microsoft. So please update our drivers. It's very bad of dell to have updated it's Inspiron series laptops drivers but hasn't bothered so with a high end premium grade xps laptop

Seriously man!! The inspiron launched at same time as our XPS has the update!! I even called the dell customer care, they just make illogical excuses!!
