"Corrupted environment" in DBAR

The "corrupted environment" error in DBAR does not allow for a backup, of which the error suggests uninstalling DBAR, rebooting and reinstalling. Sounds easy except that I can't find the DBAR directory or its files to uninstall. It also doesn't appear in the Control Panel "Programs and Features" so that it can be selected and uninstalled.

Where is the DBAR directory (and its associated files) on the hard drive (C:OS) for uninstall?

I am running on win8.1.

Help appreciated. Tks

DBAR is not part of windows and you cant make recovery after you have altered the system.  This breaks the recovery forever.

You could try Download and install DBAR 1.7

"Error 0x4001100200001005 if problem persists contact Dell support".

The reason you get Error 0x4001100200001005 is because the OEM hard drive was replaced with a retail hard drive.  OEM drives are "tattooed" or branded and the DELL recovery media will search for it before installing.  This is also why you cannot clone Dell Drives to new blank hard drives.
