webcam problem

hey guys

I have Dell inspiron 15r 5537 and I run windows 8.1 64bit operating system

i have some problem with my webcam ,, it doesn't start from the app camera pre-installed with the windows

but it work probably with everything else ( skype , yahoo , etc . )

i don't know where the problem is ? and i checked the device manager and i can't find it !!!

can anyone help me with this

Hi Ahmed Maagdy,

Please follow the steps mentioned below for issue resolution.

  1. Press “Windows key + C” from your keyboard to open “Charms bar”.
  2. Select “Settings” option.
  3. Select “Permissions” option.
  4. Turn on “Allow this app to access your: Webcam and Microphone” option.
  5. Close the app by pressing “Alt key + F4” from your keyboard.
  6. Reopen the Camera app.

okay I followed the steps and when I opened “Permissions” option

this app is trusted and can use all system capabilities.

I think because this app is installed with windows version

I don't know .... is this related anyway to video drivers ???
