32bit os on 64bit laptop
I am using a dell studio1737 which runs on windows vista 64bit. I want to upgrade it to the 32 bit version of windows 7 as i cant paly any of the games on it. Can u people please give your suggestions

Yes this should work i have noticed games run much better on x32 bit :) no worrys with that just make sure your drivers will work on windows 7 x32 operating system XD

If the games will not work in 64 bit mode. or a compatibility mode for an older OS, they will not work in 32 bit mode. With a 64 bit system, 32 bit programs are placed in the Program Files(X86) folder. ALL of my 32 bit programs (which is most including MS Office 2003) run in 64 bit OS.
We went through this with another user about 3 months ago. They were not convinced and installed a 32 bit version and then found out, as we advised, they did not work or work any better than they did in 64 bit OS.

As firebird pointed out, there may be compatibility issues with Windows 7, but that is 99.9% of the time because it is Windows 7, not because it is 64-bit. I only know of 1-2 programs that work on Windows 7 32-bit but not on 64-bit.
What game/version are you having problems with?
If you do decide to "upgrade" to Windows 7 32-bit, you will have to delete your existing Windows and install from scratch, reinstalling drivers, programs, and personal data, as there is no way to do an "in-place" upgrade between architectures (x64/x86).
