Bootmgr Missing

Happy New Year!!,


Turned my Precision Tower 5810 this morning all OK the pop-up from Dell saying system needs to reboot.

Pressed OK Then Bois updated when completed system reboots again then get Bootmgr missing press control Alt Del to restart.

Same message appears

Thank you for writing to the Dell Community Forum.

Happy New Year :)

Please use the windows OS media to boot, select the repair option. Check to see if it detects a windows installation.

If a Windows installation is detected, do the following:

Open cmd prompt.

You should be in “x:\sources".

cd to “x:\sources\recovery".

Run startrep.exe

If it does not detect a windows installation do the following:

Open cmd prompt.

Run bootrec/RebuildBcd

Reboot the system and Windows will load.
