Can't boot. Windows Vista boot screen loads, but then blank screen appears later.
I have Intel Core 2 Duo E6550 processor, NVidia 8600 GT, 3gb of RAM, and Windows Vista. I have not upgraded my PC, and I haven't opened it either.
My PC goes through the BIOS screen with the Dell logo on it, then it says that Vista didn't boot correctly and asks if I want to diagnose. If I click on the diagnostics option, the screen flashes for a split second and goes to the same menu. If I start normally, the boot screen will load the OS as normal. When that screen is gone, my screen stays blank. I would like a solution please. Oh, I'm also under warranty. Would Dell be able to repair the PC without reformatting it?
:::::IMPORTANT INFO:::::
Have not upgraded ever
Recently found Cds. I have the installation CD, drivers CD, video and sound driver CDs, and my Roxio CD. Am I able to do a simple repair with a disc, or do I have to format?
No backup operating systems at all
No credit card (In case I need to order anything off the internet, that's up to my parents)
No matter what, reformatting is NOT an option
Please help.

1. Have you tried to go on safe mode
then device manager choose your display driver, right click on it choose properties then driver and roll back driver
2. Try this too
In order to do that, you’ll have to boot from the Vista DVD | Repair Options | Command Prompt
and type
bootrec.exe /fixmbr
bootrec.exe /fixboot
