Can't download Itunes application

I have tried to download and even save Itunes application, but keep receiving this message:

"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program is required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel package vendor."

I have an Inspiron 530 and updated to Windows 7.
