Changing Colors of Background Desktop Themes

XPS 400 & XPS 410 both with Vista home Prem. My question is: How do you change the Colors of the Desktop Background Themes? The only options I have in the Theme --> Theme Settings Tab is Windows Vista & Windows Classic. Windows Vista Theme is the color I have right now a yellowish-blueish-green which are the colors that came with Windows Vista Home.

                            Thank you

To change your desktop background 1. Right Click on the desktop 2.Click on Desktop Background 3. Select your prefered background 4. Click Ok and your done. To change the colour of Vista Aero which is the parts around each windows click on Windows Colour and Apperance. As far as theme goes there is only Vista Aero and Windows classic.

Right click on Desktop, go to Perzonalize, Windows Color And Appearance, click on Open classic appearance properties for more color options, on the window Appearance Settings click on Advanced, on the new window, select under Item: Desktop and you can change the color of the desktop...

Hope this works...

Thank you for your responce. I know how to change the Desktop and the Vista Aero Colors. What I really meant was the color of the Desktop Background that appears when I installed Vista and opened it up for the first time. I liked the background itself but I didn't care for the colors. Apparently there are no options to change the color of the original background.

                                           Thanks again

That wasn't it Gio, I don't think it could be done to actually change the hue of the original desktop background that came with Vista. If this is the only problem I have with Vista (which it is) I'm in pretty good shape.

                         Thank you
