Connected to isp but get dns error after installing Norton

I just recently installed Norton anti-virus to get rid of a virus, and everything to do with the internet was working before, but now, I get connected but my browser's keep saying "DNS Error". I tried un-installing Norton, but that did not seem to help. Any ideas would be appreciated.
