Dell Driver Download Manager not downloading drivers
Hi all,
I've downloaded the Dell Driver Download Manager on my PC for downloading some drivers for my old laptop. The problem I have is that whenever I click on the "Download" button, it asks to install the Manager again as apposed to actually downloading the driver. I've tried uninstalling the Manger and reinstalling a few times, but it keeps doing it. Does anyone know how to get around this problem please?
I'm running Windows 7 64 bit, Firefox 3.6.10, and have made sure everything is up to date on my PC.
Thanks

DO NOT use the Dell download manager - many users have had problems. Only download each driver you want individually (direct using your browser's download function).
Uninstall the Dell download manager and any cookies for Dell support. Restart the PC and then access the downloads and as noted download them individually.

I am amazed ! :emotion-6:
Why did Dell develop and distribute a download manager if it isn't supported when running an uptodate OS ?
I have the same problem, trying starting Download Manager from start Menu opens a pop up with Nothing to download message followed by something like go to Drivers download and select some software to download.
What a pity

It was developed primarily for verification of large files, but is nearly completely useless for small and individual downloads. Much easier to simply download through the browser.
I'd like to see it gone or a download manager not developed by Dell - something similar to the one that Microsoft and Symantec use - and only used for large downloads.
