Downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 7

I have a Dell Inspiron desktop that was pre-loaded with Windows 7 Home.  The computer was upgraded to Win 10 and now there's no wireless internet and I can't get it to recognize my WD My Book external hard drive.  Dell doesn't support Win 10 on this device.  How do I do a factory reset on this desktop?  It's been a year or so since it was updated to Windows 10.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us!

Since the system model in not supported with windows 10 we would not be able to provide you with the accurate information for the downgrade. We would request you either get in touch with Microsoft or a local technician.

Thanks

Robin

Hi Robin,

I'd like to do a fresh install of Windows 7 (the OS that came with the desktop) using the Product Key that came with the computer.  Can Dell provide me with that software?  When I researched this on the Microsoft site they referred me back to the desktop manufacturer since it's a different version of the software.

Thanks,

Jaime
