I can get about half of a flash drive filled when this error occurs ... anyone have a suggestion.

If your flash drive is formatted with the FAT system, you may simply be running into limitations. I don't know the capacity of your drive, but with FAT, you are limited to 2 GB total, 512 entries in the root directory, and a maximum of 65,517 files.
You might want to create a few sub directories (folders) under the root and try copying more of your files to these folders and see what happens. Or you may simply want to reformat the flash drive with either the FAT32 system, or better yet the NTFS system.

Thanks Rebel9
Using NTFS to reformat the flash drive got rid of that error. I WAS using the FAT (Default) method but that obviously isn't the best way to do things.
If I right click on the flash drive (or any other drive), Windows Vista gives me 3 ways to format that drive ... FAT (Default), FAT32, and NTSC.
If it's not too complicated to explain, what is the difference in these 3 methods of formatting.
Thanks again Rebel9
