Getting Tons of Error Messages after Starting Up... WERFAULT.EXE
Hi,
I just got a brand new Alienware Area-51 computer (not even 3 days old) and every time I boot my computer and Windows loads, I get tons of error messages (i.e. [some-start-up-programming-werfault.exe). Also, none of my Alienware applications are working (except for Alien Respawn) and my Bigfoot KillerNIC errors out when I load my computer. I turned off the Windows Error Reporting service because when I started to browse on any web browser, be it Firefox or IE, it would crash it. But that doesn't stop the initial messages I receive when I first log on to my computer.
I'm thinking there's something wrong with one or some of the updates from Windows I had to install once I turned it on. I've Respawned my computer 3 times already, and even did a simple windows recovery, but nothing's working. Here's what I'm running:
Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium
Software loaded since I received the computer:
World of Warcraft, PC Tools Internet Security, PC Tools Performance Toolkit, Firefox, Apple Itunes
Any suggestions would be great! I'm just irritated that I have to click 'Close' a ton of times before I even get started with anything. It's a brand new computer and shouldn't be erroring out.
Mahalo!

There would appear to be a corruption of the OS and it may not have initialized correctly when you first started the PC. I don't know about Alienware's but on other Dell's there is a recovery partition that will restore the PC to the original factory condition by F8 at power on. I've seen a couple cases, over the 8 years I've been on the forum of a bad "disk image" load from the factory and restoring the PC using the recovery partion "PC Restore" has corrected the problem. As this is a new PC it may be good to start with this. Make sure it is all working correctly before adding any software or changing any system settings. If you call Dell support that is probably going to be the first thing they will ask you to do so my suggestion is to give it a shot as a first step.
The werfault.exe is a Windows error reporting procedure. If you do a google search for it you will get lots of info.
