HTTP 400 error Bad address - but only with IE installed by Dell
I have a Sony SNC-RZ30 network camera, which connects directly to a network with its own IP address. The camera is designed to be accessed through a browser window, and it then shows the real time video image, with the option of installing an ActiveX control for the pan/tilt/zoom functions. This all works fine on two non-Dells PCs running IE6 that I have on the network, but I cannot get it to work with a new Dell machine. Each time I try to access the camera IP address I get 'HTTP 400 error bad address'. But I can ping the camera from the Dell, so the network connection is present.
I have tried putting the camera IP as a trusted site, and tinkered with every security setting I can find but still no success. Does anyone have any suggestions please?

Presumably you have followed & double checked the device setup User Manual
Despite valid ping request
Unfortunately HTTP Error 400 tends to indicate that there is disagreement on the syntax of HTTP data streams generated by browser client & ISP server
Or in this case device’s valid video server (if relevant)?
Normally user needs to contact browser & server service providers to resolve HTTP protocol code issues
