How do I find the installshield on the Dell upgrade disc?

I need to uninstall and reinstall installshield. I'm getting a 1607 error and have some registry issues and would like to reinstall installshield. Does anyone know on what disc is on? I can't seem to find it.

Any other suggestions? It is apparently not something you can download online.

Thanks

Thanks Rick, but I have this information already. The problem is in following the steps...they assume you have the program on a disc somewhere. I don't know how to find this. I can't find any mention of installshield anywhere on any of the discs I got from Dell.

I can't proceed with installing if I can't find the program to install. It is not on my computer, or at least a search for installshield only yields a folder with nothing like install.exe.

Can you help?

Thanks, Kelly

Rick...more specifically, when I follow the instructions I get hung up in two areas. The first is that there is no security tab when I right click on the installer file they ask me to do this on.

The second is when they ask me to delete the installer file and right click and check the properties of the installer program on the disc in order to check which version I have. Problem is I can't find installshield anywhere on any of my discs....

InstallShield doesn't come on a disk from Dell.  It's a product that is bundled with software to allow you to install it.  Did you recently install or uninstall some software?

I've recently uninstalled Musicmatch and also Apple's Itunes and Ipod. I had a serious conflict between the two and now neither will run...one of them crashes the computer. I had heard that SP2 might resolve this issue so I tried to install it and I get an Access Denied alert. I've tried MS fix but the registry appears to be in quite a disaray. I can't get certain permissions to stick and something is not allowing SP2 to install.

So I gave up and tried to reinstall Itunes and my Ipod and ran into the 1607 error message.

I can't find what version of Installshield I have. So if it's bundled somehow, how do I reinstall it or repair it. Apparently some regitry values have been corrupted.
