How to use Norton Ghost 10 on a Raid configuration?

Hi,

I just installed a new Dimension 510 with a 2nd drive in a Raid configuration.
Installed on the machine is a Ghost 10.0 software. In the explaination of the machine is mentioned that these drives mirror eachother, so if one fails, there is still the 2nd one to go on working.
The trouble is:
There is no explaination how to configure Ghost to perform that task.
Not even the Ghost manual mentions that option...

Anybody got an idea?

Thanks!

"What is Dell DataSafeTM ?

Dell DataSafe uses Norton Ghost 10 software from Symantec® and Intel® Matrix Storage Technology to create a robust level of data protection for your files."

Ghost isn't aware of the RAID 1 Data Mirror setup. Ghost saves an image and incremental updates of the system partition (C:) to the D: partition on the primary hard drive. RAID mirrors the primary hard drive to the second hard drive.

Hi GM,

Thanks or the information- it makes sense. I found it annoying not to find any further information or recommendation coming with my machine.

Thanks again

On your 3rd or 4th boot, a ghost movie should have run along with a setup wizard defaulted to saving ghost images of your C: to your D:. You can rewatch the movie through your start menu/ghost link. Hope that helps a bit.
