I installed 2 operating systems to my computer and don't know how to remove them

I first installed windows XP then realized it was the wrong one so i installed windows Vist and now every time i get on my computer a black screen pops up saying to pick an OS. how do i get rid or xp without loosing the vista OS i already have on the comp (if that's even possible). thanks!
