McAfee Personal Firewall Plus Error Message

Can anyone help me?  I have an inspiron laptop and as of yesterday I have received mcafee personal firewall plus error message that says: An unexpected error has occurred in "mpfTrayErrors.txt".  What is this?  How do I fix or get rid of the problem?  It has a hold on my laptop and won't let go.  Can not do anything internet/email even shut off my computer?
 
Would appreciate any help at all.

Try uninstalling FP and any other McAfee product and lastly Security Center. Reboot, reinstall. Then go to Firewall Options and click the Reset Options link. See if that helps.

Mcafee is aware of the problem and is requesting that user who experience this error sent a copy of the error log to them. Read below:

Description

Note: This is not the duplicate MPFtray entries in msconfig. The additional information below will link you to that page if you think that is your problem.

This particular error message has just recently begun occurring. Our Engineering teams need to gather additional information in order to provide a proper resolution. When you received the error message, a log file was created in your McAfee Personal Firewall Plus directory. The rest of this article will outline the steps you can take to help us gather these log files. We appreciate your effort in helping us to identify this issue.


Instructions for submitting your mpftray error log
  1. Open My Computer. XP users will find it on their start menu.
  2. Double-click on your system drive. Usually it is the C drive
  3. Double-click the Program Files folder
  4. Double-click the McAfee.com folder
  5. Double-click the Personal Firewall folder.
  6. Look for a file named MpfTrayErrors.txt
  7. You may also send a file named MPFSERVICEErrors.txt
  8. Please email the log(s) to consumer_attachments@mcafee.com
  9. In the subject line of the email please put MPFtray Errors
  10. Attach the log(s) to the email
  11. Send the email
