My MS Word document for my newsletter opens differently every other time.
Operating System: Windows XP
Problem Description:
My MS Word document for my newsletter opens differently every other time.
You close it and reopen - and you have a different format.
This problem just occured recently. I can't get it to save the right format
so it will open the same way every time.
Sometimes it opens with the right
format. sometimes it does not.
Other MS word docs don't do this.
However, the format for some of my MS Word docs. somehow has chaged from its original.
The draw down for font selection is also out of wack - and I would like to
know how to reset it to the way it was when the computer was new (i.e., it's default setting)

Unless you are using a specific template for your newsletter, the problem may be caused by a corrupted normal template. To correct the problem do a search for normal.dot. When it is found, right-click and delete it. When you start Word again it will generate a new normal template and should correct the problem.

The default printer can make a difference to how a document looks. If the document was created on another machine (or on the same machine using another printer as default), this change your formatting.
