Norton Ghost for Vista

Hello - I found a web page on Symantec that says Ghost version 12 for Vista would not be available until Arpil 18, 2007.  Here's the link:

I would like to purchase a Dell XPS 410 with Vista when it becomes available.  I would want to configure it with Dell 'DataSafe'.   DataSafe requires Norton Ghost to operate.

Does anyone know what Dell will do?  Can they build a system with DataSafe for Vista without Ghost?  Or can Ghost 10 (the current version) be configured to run on Vista, maybe without the Vista 'bells and whistles'?   Or maybe Dell will use a different software vendor for the drive mapping?

Thanks! - Marvin

I'd guess that when Dell begins shipping Vista you''ll be able to pull up an XPS 410 configuration and see what they've done.

Make sure you get the full version of Ghost!!!!

I didn't when I got my 410....even though I had ordered a DataSafe HD.

I called and complained and they sent it overnight!
