Outlook Express times out when only sending attachments small or big files like a single jpg
Error Message: Emailing: halloween o5 age 5 was unable to be sent because the connection to you mail server was interupted. Please open your emial client and re-send the message from the sent messages folder.
I have Win XP Office professional. My ISP is SBC Yahoo (DSL). I have Explorer 6 and run Outlook Express 6. This issue I have is when I send a small attachment jpg or notes file it take forever to load up and most of the times it times out when sending the mail and attachment. I have no issues getting mail or attachments. I diabled my notornby deselecting several setting (I found a good site on-line to explain how to disable Norton for incommin and outgoing mail) which eventually stopped my Norton from popping up in the right corner when sending mail. I also reset my account in Outlook Express but still to no avail to resolve my issue. I was on-line with SBD and they verified some Outlook Settings and said it was not my ISP but Norton. That was before I disalbed my norton email scanning. Norton said it sounds like it is my ISP or Outlook Express Software. I also went under programs, install and remove and deleted my Outlook Express (so I thought as when I reinstalled it inder add remove the same settings installed as before along with the same address list) It does not totally remove the program. I even read up and one site stated how one can manually remove some settings for Outlook which will totally remove it. Unfortunately I followed it and only to find out the system still recogonized my Outlook Express. I had to hit restore to get it back so I could run it. My CD I had for my system states it is not the correct one that was originally installed and I could not load it. I had a pc purchased from work and it came with the disk at hand. I was able to run my system great until about a week 1 1/2 ago. I don't remember changing any settings. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I was hoping for OE7 comming out thinking that may resolve my settings? Who knows?
Thanks
