Problem with Urls saved to Links Bar in IE6

Have quite a few favorite urls I have dragged to my links bar in IE6.  I use to scroll down them and they would turn dark blue with white font (one link at a time) and were easy to read.  Now when I scroll the links they all turn dark blue and the printing is black and unreadable, that is I have one long navy blue strip at the end of my links bar. Have no idea what caused this - maybe too many links saved??  It really looks weird as you scroll down, then about half way down they return to normal - one link at a time turns blue with white font.

Have tried system restore but that didn't help.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen or how I can correct it?
