Reinstall

I have Dell Inspirion 5558 laptop. It can pre installed with windows 8.1.
I updated it with windows 10 and it was working fine. But recently i found my laptop working slow and i consulted one of my friend regarding this problem. He told me that the problem is with the OS.
And told me to change the OS. He performed a clean install and installed windows 7 starter 32 bit (Genuine)in my laptop.

But i am not comfortable with it.

Is their any way i can reinstall my original OS in my laptop?

You can use the Create Media site to make a boot disk/thumb drive to reinstall windows 8.1. It has to be a custom clean install so you can wipe the partition with win 7. Your windows 8 key is embedded in the motherboard. Follow the directions at the site or get someone to help but not the friend who messed it up-

Windows 7 Starter is non-genuine, it was preinstalled OEM only and your Windows 8.1 Home License is not eligible for downgrade rights. Moreover you should not be using 32 Bit Windows on new hardware...

You should clean install Windows 10 RS1. A Clean Installation of Windows 10 RS1 will perform much better than a Windows 10 upgrade installation from Windows 8.1.

To clean install follow my guide here which will take you through it step by step:

Ensure that you make a Bootable USB that utilises the GPT partition scheme for a UEFI BIOS. Ensure that Legacy Boot options and Legacy Roms are Disabled. Ensure that SecureBoot is Disabled. Ensure that you have the latest UEFI BIOS version.
