Roxio Creator DE

Question

Just got new E521 with Creator installed. I cannot get it to enter Video DVD area. I get an error saying 'unable to Load skin'. I've gone through roxio forum, found a similar error and tried to complete the steps to overcome it = useless. Have reinstalled and updated with new and corrected files = useless. Reinstalled DirectX to get proper dll s = useless. Dell how come you don't test the programs you install? This is a nearly virgin system and the software you install doesn't work. Please give us some support. I expressly bought this computer to speed up my Video DVD preparation of Grandkids videos! PS I bought my first Dell in 1990 I've had 5 Software always worked why not now?

Did you install the latest version of the Roxio Creator 9.0 DE.

I did on mine few days ago and it works perfectly.

I used cd supplied with new computer, Creator 9.0 then went to get upgrade at ROXIO and tried to reinstall still at a loss. All components install -- Video DVD section does not run.

hi i have the preinstaled roxio creator de 9,used it had nothing but problems,tryed using this morning to make a dvd  and now it tells me that the trial virsion has expired so i gues that all these hours spent downloading pathes and many hours spent with dell tec was all for nothing,they could have tolled me that it was just a trial !!!   good luck
