Sonic Activation Module

I have a XPS Dimension 5150C with Windows XP Professional, purchased April 2006.

I think problem started after running Norton System Works 2005 - Norton Disk Doctor and Norton WinDoctor, not sure.

At startup, message appears: 'Sonic Activation Module - the feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available. Insert the 'Sonic Activation Module' disk and click OK.'

Have run 'System Restore' a few times. Have downloaded some 'urgent' and 'recommended' updates from Dell technical website.  No luck so far in extinguishing this message (which disappears after about 8 'cancellations').

Any help appreciated.

Try this to correct the problem, click the link below and perform the following steps.
  1. Click the following link to access the hotfix from the Roxio website:
    http://tools.roxio.com/support/dell/isum_hotfix.exe

  2. When the File Download - Security Warning window appears, click Run

  3. When the Internet Explorer - Security Warning window appears, click Run.

  4. When the Sonic - ISUM Hotfix Setup window appears, click Yes.

  5. Click Yes when the reboot prompt appears.
