Its better to give me the hardware IDs of the wireless card as these are more common and the Bluetooth driver will be bundled with the wireless card driver. e.g. so I can determine if its a Dell Wireless 1703/1705.

it's 1703

I found out from the dell support page

but I'm not sure which one I have installed :/

I didn't know at the time and I thought it's ok if I installed either drivers so I may have installed a different one

I want to note here tho that the drivers download page should only have my devices!

my graphics card is is 8730 but I have two drivers in the downloads page

this is easy for me to determine which one to install

but some other drivers like chipset or whatever I really didn't  have any idea what should I download!

so I just chose randomly as I thought either one will work for me.

that's what could have caused the problem

Agreed and I have been mentioning this problem for a few years now. I usually do not recommend inputting a service tag or even using drivers and downloads as often wrong drivers are listed or important drivers such as the chipset drivers aren't listed.

Try this driver and see if the error messages in the device manager disappear::

Might I suggest using a driver updater such as SlimDrivers from

https://www.slimwareutilities.com/slimdrivers.php

I have found this to be very reliable in obtaining the newest and exact drivers. It takes the guest work out of check Dell or any other site.

Very rarely Will it come up with an older driver or even give the same one you just Installed. The free version is a manual download/install and only one driver at a time. There is no limit to how many drivers or time you use the program as is the case with most others. I have tried a few other driver update programs such as Drive Max but you are extremely limited and it will give false drivers.

For instance one unit I have (XP) has Soundmax audio. Soundmax has been out of the running for many yrs Since yet Driver maz said there was a recent update through another company. I said great installed restarted my unit and Lost my sound altogether. Did an online search and found that the last update was like 2003 not 2007. Had to uninstall and the driver and let the system reinstall the original.

But I get what you are saying about checking Dell and being give various drivers regardless the service tag. I checked the enclosed inventory sheet verse what dell said when I did a system detect and system detect had a few things completely wrong.  But I think the reason for the variation is that just because say my unit is the same model doesn't mean it has the same inner workings.

I have 3 dell inspirons same style and mode num yet a few differences. they are old xp inspiron 2350 pent 4 one has soundmax audio and the other 2 have realtek ac97 2 have the old 3.5 floppy drive and only cd-rom the other has no floppy and separate cd rom  dvd rom. So it is understandable in a sense that because the various component configuration inside there would be various drivers. If I need a nVdia for my unit and the only driver listed is Radeon then that would only work for a person using Radeon graphic. Service tag basically has no bearing but to identify the customer and whether or not the warranty is valid (if registered)

Anyway give SlimDrivers a shot I'm sure like myself you'll use it  to obtain correct drivers.
