Upgrading to windows 7/bios update needed (inspiron 1420)

DO NOT use the Dell download manager.  Only download what you want direct.  Uninstall the download manager and any cookies for it.  Then restart the PC and access the Dell downloads and just download what you want, such as the BIOS, direct.

well I try to download it directly and all it gives me is the download installer for the manager. I have also tried Add to download list>download selected and it gives me the manager again :emotion-40:

the error it gives me when I start the installation says to.

Contact your computer manufacturer for a BIOS update, install the update, and then start Windows installation again. What makes you think you need to upgrade your BIOS.  Nothing in the descriptions os A08, A09, or A10 appear to be related to Windows 7

Delete all of  your Dell cookies and restart your browser ... it will ask you again if you want to download via your browser or the Download Manager (don't use the Download Manager - it's nothing but trouble).
