VISTA SP1 ISO Download

Does anyone know where I can download update ISOs of Windows Vista Business 32bit and Vista Ultimate 32/64bit? I have to reformat my computers... again.

you will get no answers to this as that would be a violation of the TOS of this board...it's illegal..

You can get the 32bit ISO SP1 here and a combined 32/64 bit version of SP1  here. I have no idea why these would be considered "illegal" as Microsoft is making both of these publicly available.

Rebel9,

"Does anyone know where I can download update ISOs of Windows Vista Business 32bit and Vista Ultimate 32/64bit? I have to reformat my computers... again. "

The title and request are a bit confusing, one could assume they are asking for either the SP1 ISO or the full version of Vista with SP1 integrated.

If it is the latter, it is illegal to distribute here on DCF, and,

The OP can request them using this form

mombodog,

Yes, you're right - the original question could be (and obviously was) interpreted differently. Looking at the subject (VISTA SP1 ISO download), I took it to mean that the OP was looking for only the SP1 ISO. It didn't cross my mind that he/she may have been asking for a complete package. If it was the latter, then Davet50's response was appropriate.

Davet50 - no offense intended. :smileyvery-happy:

Ever notice that whenever we have these big discussions that the OP is nowhere to be found?

At one point, there was a listing for the full re-install ISO from digital-river. This was a fully legitimate and legal download of the OS. Digital River is one of Microsoft's distribution partners. You can also find Win7, Win8 and other versions of Office. They are completely legitimate. They work with retail and OEM codes. The reason that they are available is that you still need a registration code and COA in order to make them work. Digital River and Microsoft.com so far are the only sources I know of (outside of Technet) that you can trust for legitimate OS downloads.

TrikerII, you are replying to a 5 year old thread... as such much of the information posted above is greatly out of date.

  • Windows 8 is unavailable as a direct download link and Microsoft only allow you to download the media after purchasing an upgrade product key or if you already have one. It does not work for an OEM version of Windows 8 and there is no means of switching from 32 bit to 64 bit or vice versa (without changing your previous version of Windows). The setup files then can be used to make the .iso but there is no download link. This I believe is highly flawed
  • Windows 7 .isos are available on Digital River.
  • Windows Vista setup files are available on Digital River which can be sued to make a .iso.
  • Windows XP is unavailable from Digital River and reaching its end of life.

In addition

  • Office 2013 .isos are available n Digital River
  • Office 2010 setup files are available on Digital River
  • Office 2007 Setup Files are available on Digital River.
  • Microsoft Works 9.0 Setup files are available on Digital River.

For more information about the direct download links from Digital River see Heidoc.net where Jan has listed a list of direct download links and information.

For instructions on how to use the .isos or setup files and to install Windows see my Windows Reinstallation Guide and Related Wikies.
