Vista won't factory image reset.
PCRestore.exe Gives blank error
I want to Factory reset my pc. when I start the computer up and press f8 it loads to the system repair part and i press enter, then the screen starts to load and just keeps on loading for hours. and when i try and use the Pcrestore.exe It starts up then it just says that /tools/dp.sc contains a invalid path and if i run as admin it starts formatting then gives a blank error. I don't think my pc came with a disk...

Hi,
It seems like this could also be the Hard Drive issue. I would suggest you to run Dell Diagnostics. In order to run Dell Diagnostics from Hard Drive, follow the below mentioned steps:
1. Restart your computer.
2. When the DELL™ logo appears, tap immediately.
3. In the boot device list, highlight Boot to Utility Partition and press .
4. Under Dell Diagnostics Main Menu (see Dell Diagnostics Main Menu), select the extended test. If you get any error code, make a note of the error code.
I am going to send you a private message and once you receive it, please provide the Service Tag and contact number, so that I may access to your system records. Please do not share your Service Tag in the open forum.
Do reply with results.
