Windows SP2 and Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN USB 2.0

Hi, I have the OptiPlex GX270 machine with the Dell TrueMobile 1300 WLAN USB 2.0. My 5 year old actually managed to DL AND install SP2 on it. I have 2 other PC's hardwired to my Linksys WRT54GS router and I wanted to stay away from SP2 on ALL my machines because terming into the work server doesn't work with SP2 boxes. IT has to reconfig something and we were told to NOT install SP2 until further notice or lose work connectivity.

Anyways, I noticed that the wireless machine with SP2 has trouble staying on my LAN. Also, the green light on the NIC doesn't blink. I seemed to have found a temporary fix by clicking the REBOOT radio button and the router but this is a hassle, of course. I want it to stay connected, hassle free, like before with SP1, 24/7.

Any ideas fellahs? Is SP2 an issue with Dell TrueMobile 1300? I hope there's a fix!

I have a similar problem, they told me not to install SP2 any more. I'm installing SP1 right now, let's hope that helps.

Silencer, I UNINSTALLED SP2 from the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and it fixed the problem. :) Just say NO to SP2. :))))
