XP Logon Screen
My screen usually states how many unread messages I have before logging on. It now shows incorrect details (e.g. Stating "you have 8 unread messages" etc) even when there are no unread messages. The details keep increasing. I have restarted and even turned off the computer completely and restarted and they are still there. How can I get these details to correctly reflect the status of Email ?
Thanks
John

Use regedit to navigate to HKEY
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UnreadMail
& check "MessageExpiryDays" is set to .............(1)
then click on sub-HKEY which shows the E-mail account being checked.
& set the "MessageCount" to .................(0)
It also shows the "Application" being used to get Unread Mail data
ie: Outlook Express is msimn
Not all applications can give Data.
