networkadapters, can't connect to internet after reinstalling XP.

Hi folks,

After a 3 days struggle, sleepless nights and headaches I've finally succeeded in reinstalling XP. It works!!

Now I'm encountering a new problem: can't get into the internet with my cable-modem.

My hardware-wizrd displays the next indications: red cross 1394-networkadapter. Code 22.
?! SM buscontroller (Code 28)
?! Ethernet-controller Code 28)
?! Videocontroller (VGA-comptab.) Code 28

Code 22 = device switched off.
Code 28 = no driver installed.

The reinstalling XP was done properly.

How to handle? Where can I find the drivers?
I don't have a dial modem.

bmw528i,

Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.

You need to install the drivers for the network card that you are using as well as the chipset drivers and any other drivers that you have devices installed or connected to your system. The drivers are located on the Dell Resource cd that came with the system.
