reinstall because special purposes
i am coming from germany so first i wonder why i am here in the english section...
but anyway.
(please forgive me my whatever soundlike english)
i work with computer ince 25 years
but now me and my wife bought a dell comp..
so my questions:
1.there is no ide port right ?
2.what kind of motherboard is this, there is written on o it or lets say plotted "dell"
3.
i worked mainly as a admin and secondly as a musicion are there hints for my pc
4.
is a dimension 521 athlon xp 64 x2 4200*
5.
i got no system cd with the operating system , nearly in the future i want to reinstall that system without that silly shareware ghost and norton system , did i missed the ordering system to order a oem dvd or cd ?
6.
i liked the manufacturing of dell...
but its hard to extend and not to avoid to destroy the ordeness of the system..
so my question is:
i want to reinstall my system where can i get the operating software...
and where can i get some hardware system information ... to avoid problems with reistalling and reusing my sytem...
at all a fine price and a fine system...
kind regarsd dennis pierrre sarratou
please answer
but anyway.

If the Symantec PC Restore utility won't work, but still resides on your computer, a Dell customer has figured out some ways to get it to work again. Note - If you removed this partition, it is not recoverable, cannot be downloaded from the internet, and cannot be shipped from Dell. Click here for ways to fix Symantec PC Restore. Users have also reported that the partition can be restored with Ghost 2003, and Ghost 9 using the '03 capabilities of it. If you boot to the Ghost 9 CD, select Advanced Recovery Taks, select Utilities, then Restore Legacy Image it should work - but you want to verify the image before attempting the restore. It's in a folder called IMG.
Systems that shipped beginning in early 2005 ship without Windows XP. You can contact Dell and request a CD and wait for it to ship, see Contact Us at the bottom of the page.

i am a guy who is outdated..
so i am sorry for myself.
i am working as an admin
so deleted norton software....(please no more advertising) i earn money but not so much to earn all offers
at the atart of your system.....
so i deleted it........
that was my 2nd question
i got preprad installed an admin account and at least 3 partiotions on my harddrive..
so at all at this bundled price ..
its ok
but i thing there is more information that i can get than i got from dell
from you!
so and the next step itried to get these infromatione.....
my account is not valuable for normal wep page dell login.

Second, you need to work on explaining more clearly what your problem is. You've been provided with how to get the CD from Dell. What else do you need?
If the login you're trying to do is to use Dell chat, that's only for US Home buyers. You can't use it from Germany.
-------- so that is your answr!
1.
i am sorry to post this more than twice....
2.
i am very sorry but i am new to post such like things so i dont know where too post this..
i miss a section.. at your site.not only beginners......
so at last
if that is your only answer : "If the login you're trying to do is to use Dell chat, that's only for US Home buyers. You can't use it from Germany."
1.
this is not the answer what new customers expect !
2.
they are irritated (its wrong syntax) that they bought a very fine "collection" PC and then they dont know where to go: that means only : where i have to direct my emails and my fears about...
i am no silly but i never used this system before..
i got only 1 (one!) question but i dont know where to go in your online support,
because your last answer was so called "devil cycle"
i cannot so i am not able to do.....
maybe this is my last written thing,
but i dont want to be an destructive critic , so help me
i like to be called siily but help me..
there is so much "help" at your side , a normal guy cannot follow this.
