what is dellsupport.dellfix.com? legit message from dell support?

i have been getting the message "dellsupport.dellfix.com" is trying to access port 80.......do you want to allow this?" several times a day. mostly i say "no", a couple of times i said "yes" hoping it would stop. but it is still happening. is it a legit message from dell or is somebody trying to sneak into my computer? jy

It is the Dell Support application attempting to communicate with Dell to see if there are any updates or fixes for your PC from Dell.

thank you very much. i will check the box that says to allow it every time then. while i'm here, maybe you can help with the other problem i've been having.

everytime (for months now), i close out a window such as this dell forum or a newsgroup, i get this exact message:

   "IEXPLORE.EXE - application error

the instruction at 0x03d42bf2 referenced memory at 0x03ef6ab8.  the memory could not be "read". click ok to terminate the program"

any idea why that message keeps popping up and how to stop it?
