Connection problems 3g/4g

Connection problems 3g/4g

Thunderbolt phone on Verizon 4g LTE:

I can connect via Wifi but not 3g/4g to individual computers set up with the companion software.

If I set a manual connection to a terminal server from the outside, Wifi/3g/4g will all work.

If I join a VPN over 4g/3g, I can connect to the individual computers as well.


All connections are auto-discovery through a gmail account except for the terminal server connection. Both versions of Pocketcloud (Free and Pro) are fully updated from android market. Companion software is the most recent (problem has been ongoing for several versions).

iPhone phones can make the connections fine (also on Verizon network).

We released a new companion (2.4.19) yesterday that has some improvements in the 3G/4G areas, please download and upgrade to see if it corrects the issues you are experiencing. You can download it here:

That is the version I am currently testing against. I downloaded it this morning and tested connections. It's what prompted my post.

Can you capture a log for me from the companion and send it to me directly?

-Right click on the companion (kite icon in the system tray) on your PC
-Select Preferences
-Navigate to the Advanced tab
-Check the Enable Debug option
-Sign out of companion
-Sign back into companion
-Attempt to connect to your computer (reproduce the connection issue)
-After doing that, return to the advanced tab within the companion and press the ... button next to where you enabled the Debugging

It should open this file in notepad. You can email this text file to me directly (email sent in a PM to you).
