slow response

I'm using a Xoom Wi-Fi and connecting to a desktop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium.

I downloaded the trial version and it works ... but ... there is a slight delay when tapping on the Xoom before the command gets to the desktop, perhaps a second or a second and a half.

That isn't too bad but the response coming back from the computer is extremely slow. Often the delay may be as long as 6 or 7 seconds.

This makes playing any game remotely via the Xoom very difficult to say the least.

Is there anyway to speed it up?

Can the program access the PC via the wireless network instead of the cloud? ( not sure how this all works so if that's a dumb question -- sorry bout that ).
