Asset and License Management Software for Thin clients

Hopefully someone can help me with some suggestions.

We have a fleet of over 400+ thin clients which consist of C10L, D10D and Wyse 5070 Celeron models.

We currently use ManageEngine Helpdesk to control out IT support and asset management with a real specification on license assignment. However we are finding it very challenging to manage the licensing of our thin client fleet via the asset feature in Manage Engine Helpdesk.

Manage Engine Helpdesk also requires an agent to be installed on the device for it to be scanned into the asset registry but you cannot do this on the thin clients as they do not allow software to be installed onto them. We know that we can put all the wyse boxes into a spreadsheet and import them this way but this is very complex and time consuming due to the amount of wyse thin clients we have.

Is there any management software out there that could be of use to us for managing the thin clients and tracking and assigning licenses. The Licensing issue is the biggest trouble as we are currently trying to play around with SQL databases via the back-end of helpdesk to try and make this process easier.

Any help of advice would be much appreciated.

Today, nothing I can recommend.  Future versions of Wyse Management Suite Pro will have a web services hook to allow Rest API integration with 3'rd party software which may help you address this.

No timeline published on this feature.

Thank you Buffalobound.

Shame this is the case it is a really useful feature if you have a specific environment.

Do you know where i can see the list of Wyse management suite pro future features.

Page 44 of the install guide has a nice matrix.

You are permitted to install your own software onto ThinClients, as long as they are compatible with the installed OS.

Which OS are you using within your environment?

This is the first entry noting the WMS Web Services. Is this going to be a Pro feature and not available in the Standard edition?
