Connect Tunnel Failed

Connect Tunnel Failed

We are experiencing an intermittent connection issue to the VDI broker server from our suite of Wyse C10LE terminals:

15. DNS/WINS Can't Resolve (Server FQDN)
16. Error ERR_TCP_CONNECT_ERROR!
17. SSL: Unable to setup connection (err=5914)

Usually a couple of reboots gets around the problem. Has anybody come across this before and if so is there a fix on the VMWare View end?

Thanks

We have now resolved this issue by amending the secure tunnel setting from FQDN to IP in the View console settings.

Digging up an old thread here, but, we're seeing the same issue on our D10DPs (branded 5010 now). What's odd is we only see it randomly, and we only see it in one of our data centers. We have 10 view brokers split across 2 data centers, so, our terminals are all pointed to the global wip for the broker. Every 30 or 40 minutes, the terminals will give this error. If we change them to point to the DC1 VIP, they will work. If we switch to DC2, they remain broken. Even weirder, if we utilize the DC2 view brokers one at a time via FQDN during this, they remain broken. If we switch to IP 1 by 1, they work.

Networking guys tell us both sites are the same. Unfortunately I don't have much ammo to fire back with. Our secure gateway is already configured to use IP, but, I didn't think the secure gateway mattered really, since this all internal testing at this time. Coming to the brokers internally, you don't go through our external brokers, this I assumed the secure gateway isn't in play.
