Wyse c10le ON 7.1.033 auto restarting or rebooting at random times while being used

Wyse c10le ON 7.1.033 auto restarting or rebooting at random times while being used

Hello

we have about 80 C10LE devices and recently upgraded from 7.0_113 to 7.1_033. Since rolling this out to everyone we now have reports of the units auto rebooting while users are working on them. The reboot looks identical to what appears when users would see at logoff, except of course they have not logged off. We cannot easily duplicate the problem as it can take 20 minutes of constant usage for it to actually do the reboot.

It appears that rolling back to 7.0_113 resolves the issue, but there were new WIFI features in 7.1_033 that I wanted to benefit from. So, does anyone have suggestions as to the cause of these reboots (aside from the firmware)? I wonder if we have something in our wnos.ini file that the new firmware is unhappy with? I really would like to use 7.1_033 if possible.

Also not sure if this matters but we are on WDM 4.8, workgroup edition. Our Citrix pnagent site is WI 5.3, and the farm is XenApp 6.

Here is my wnos.ini file, edited a bit for sake of keeping some names and pw's private:

p.s. No one reported problems during our testing and pilot. We have some work to do on finding more vocal testers.

Hello - just a quick update - While reseraching this problem I happened across this older forum post from http://www.freewysemonkeys.com/modul...ionreliability and the symtpoms seemed very similar, except in the OP's scenerio there is no reboot. We reboot when user sessons end though, which would explain the Auto signoff and 5 second countdown. I also noticed "heavy use" could trigger the auto signoff and subsequent reboot.

So for now I have turned off SessionReliability and am trying to see if this has resolved our issue. Only time will tell.

If it does resolve the problem then I am kind of curious why the ironically named feature "sessionreliability" would result in a signoff after some heavy use in this firmware version but not the older one we had been using prior to this upgrade.
