Can I Use Native Intel UHD Graphics 630 Driver Instead Of Dell's Intel Driver?
I have a new Dell XPS 9830 desktop that came with the Intel UHD Graphics 630 chip and a custom Dell Intel driver for this device. I see that Intel has released a much more higher version of its driver for this chip so I wanted to know if I can actually use the native Intel driver in place of the so-called custom Dell Intel driver? Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Here was the answer when the question was asked previously: https://www.dell.com/community/Monitors/Dell-provided-drivers-vs-manufacturers-drivers/td-p/4443752. The problem is that Dell does not update its drivers to keep up with those of manufacturers especially when manufacturers update drivers because of Windows updates.

I usually test this kind of thing by making sure I have a copy of the OEM and a copy of the INTEL on a 2nd hard drive or flash drive.
That way I can install and if it has issues i can uninstall then revert back to the OEM driver.
I have installed the INTEL RST driver and INTEL UHD 630 driver on my machine and it does not appear to have any issues. YMMV.

If the Dell PC can run the native Intel drivers why does Dell release and install a customized driver? Thanks.
