Can't open optical drive

I've just bought a brand new XPS 8930. Everything seems to work except I can't open the DVD RW drive. I've tried pressing the button and all it does is make a noise as if the drive is rotating and then stops. I've tried the paper clip routine and that does nothing. I've tried the Eject from the File Explorer and that seems to do the same thing as pressing the button. Is there anything else I should do or does it look like a warranty job?
