DELL - Worst Service EVER!!!

Bought a new DELL XPS 8390 6weeks ago. The sound was dead on arrival. Shipped it back to DELL where they kept it for 4 weeks. Received it yesterday in pieces. Screws and Expansion card covers on the inside, the case was bent after cleaning up the mess up inside, I tried to start it and received Memory Failure Error.

Dell's solution, send it back so they can break it more. For Dell, FAILURE is not only and option, it's something they take pride in.

NEVER buy DELL systems if you don't need anything more than an expensive boat anchor

That's funny because they drove 55 miles up a windy road on 2 occasions to fix 2 of mine which was successful once and they sent a new one right away the second time. What do you mean by "in pieces" ? 3 pieces? It sounds like it looked like a tinker toy set. Dell PC's have been very dependable for me (I owned 12-15 of them) and support has always been great.

Sounds like you’ve had a miserable experience. However, it’s worth noting that Dell has different levels of warranty service. If you buy the upgrade, they’ll do just about anything for you. In fact, my experience with them left me wondering how the company can give that much attention to a customer AND make a buck in the process. HOWEVER, if your 6-week old system was returned in as bad a shape as you indicate, PLEASE file a complaint with the company. Surely, someone on Dell’s end will help you sort matters out.

Hi NeH1,

Thanks for posting.  Apologies that your system is not performing as expected.

If you still require assistance and the system is under warranty, you may contact me privately. Be sure to include your personal information (name, address, telephone, email) and your computer's service tag number in your message. Thanks.

If there is no warranty, then you could contact our Out of Warranty team to get a quote for a paid service request.
