XPS 8930, blinking 3, 2 amber, video issue?
Hello,
I have a Dell XPS 8930 and I am getting a 3,2 amber diagnostic which indicates a motherboard failure but I wonder if its linked to the video card?
First I changed the bios battery as I thought that was the issue. That fixed the issue for a while and then the issue came back. After the fail happened again was forced to wipe the OS and start over. I just got the same issue and removed all of the connections (including secondary monitors) and now its working again with no problems.
Upon further evaluation it seems the error happens when I have both displays attached to the PC. Is this a graphics card issue? If so ideas on how to resolve?

@maloneynyc There does not appear to be a 3,2 blink code listed however there is a 2, 3 code which indicates a system board, memory, or processor failure. Blink codes are listed in the Service Manual. A video card or chip failure would result in 6 blinks. I would start by running the Enhanced Pre-Boot System Assessment (ePSA) as described in the Service Manual.

@maloneynyc - If you have an add-in video card (NVidia or AMD), at least one monitor should be connected to that add-in card before you connect a 2nd monitor to one of the onboard Intel UHD Graphics ports. So check which ports you're using. See the Back Panel photo on page 10 in the Setup Guide.
Most add-in video cards support more than one monitor, but you may need a video adapter, if the second monitor doesn't support one of the ports on the card, eg DisplayPort(video card)>HDMI(monitor #2).
