Final Check for front fan, GPU upgrade, and RAM upgrade
Alright. I am looking to upgrade my Dell XPS 8930. I have an Intel i5 8400, 8GB 2666 Non-ECC Memory, and whatever version of the 1050ti Dell makes.
I am looking at buying the EVGA SC ULTRA GAMING 1660 SUPER card. I believe that it will fit into my case, can someone confirm?
Also. I know I have to turn off Secure Boot. Will this damage my computer in any way? It gives me a warning along with the likes of "This may cause your computer to not be able to boot, and it may wipe your system," is that true? Is there any chance of that happening?
Now, I also want to upgrade my Memory because we all know that 8GB is nothing. I am looking at this model from Crucial, on their website, they say it is 100% compatible. Is it?

Now, as I can tell, the Dell case has absolutely terrible airflow, with only one fan.
So, I have read that I can get an Alienware Aurora R7 Case fan, and mount it, is this the correct one?

Just a comment on memory. Memory should not be mixed. It should all be the same. We have many problems posted on here of memory problems because of mixed memory/brands. If you want to upgrade the memory only use all the same brand/type. Crucial is one brand that guarantees it will work in a Dell.
Even non-Dell's have the memory issues. I have a home built desktop using an ASUS ROG (Gamer) motherboard. I have 16 GB of Corsair and 16 GB of GSkill (both same spec's). Either will work OK but both together and it will not boot and gives memory error.

I see. I kinda wanna keep things simple, so I think I'll sacrifice a little bit of performance for more ease of use. What is the difference in temps for using Arctic fans vs Dell fans?
If I do decide to do that, do you have recommendations for what fan to buy? (Budget is like $10)

You can use CPU-Z to find out the model # of your RAM. HWINFO64 also works. Is your 8GB of memory in a single memory module or a pair of 4GB modules?
In my experience Crucial recommended memory was 100% compatible. My XPS 8910 came with a single 16GB memory module and I purchased a memory module from Crucial to match it and ended up with 32GB of memory.
