XPS 8910, PSU upgrade suggestions?
Looking to upgrade my psu so that I can install an rx580. Wondering if someone can suggest a replacement from this list? Ideally 650w without need for additional modifications.

My existing unit has an i7 6500 and a gt730 with 16gb memory running two monitors.

Here are two posts from folks who actually replaced the power supply in the XPS 8910. The power supplies they used were higher wattage but lower wattage units of the same series would probably work.

Also check and see if you need mini-sata cable for your optical drive

Thanks for the replies guys, definitely helpful. I've done some additional digging and opted to go for the EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 650W. Looks like a solid choice judging by online chatter. Also found this thread which leads me to believe it will work:

Looking forward to it! Cheers.

Just to close this off, have just now installed this and booted the PC back up. Purrs like a kitty. Good call @HanoverB on the need for an additional cable for the dvd/optical drive, ended up grabbing a 7Pin Data + 6pin F to 4pin M Power that worked nicely.
All in all very pleased with the result. Primed for my new GPU. Thanks all.
