XPS 8930, BIOS install update never stop
When I started update the bios for my xps 8930 from the "support assistance", the program didn't stop. I kept my computer running for 6 days but the program still installing. Please advise. Thanks.

What version of BIOS were you trying to install?
Does it still boot normally?
IMO, using SupportAssist to update BIOS is just too risky, so try updating BIOS this way:
1. Copy the downloaded XPS 8930 BIOS update file onto a USB drive.
The USB drive does not need to be bootable device.
2. Plug the USB drive into any USB port with PC off.
3. Power the system on.
4. At the DELL logo screen, tap F12 to access the one-time boot menu.
5. Select BIOS Flash Update in the Other Options section.
6. Click the button to browse the USB drive to locate the downloaded file.
7. Select the file and click Ok.
8. Verify the existing system BIOS information and the BIOS update information.
9. Click Begin Flash Update.
10. Review the Warning message and click Yes to proceed with the update.
11. The system restarts and displays a progress bar at the Dell logo screen.
The system restarts again when the update is complete.
NOTES: Do not interrupt the update process, not even pressing any key. The PC may restart one or more times. It may actually appear to have shut off completely, but just leave it alone! It may take a few sec to restart again, so wait patiently until you're back at the desktop...
