XPS 8930, plastic drive caddy
I need a new Caddy for my XPS 8930 like this. Do they make these in metal? Or is there a metal one that will work the same? For whatever reason Dell used cheap plastic and the tabs broke when I pulled the drive out.

it is supposed to be elastic so the caddy can snap in place in the metal cage. yes it would break if it got stuck when you try to pull it out. but normally it should not get stuck in the cage. it is a cheap replacement part. 65KHD

Thanks @redxps630 I figured there may be a stronger metal one with metal tabs instead of plastic.
I am just seeing your reply. I did not get notified. The only notification I got was the @DELL-Cares
Troll keeps asking my service tag every time I make a post. It's so annoying. Asking my service tag
every time I make a post.

It seems that Dell 3.5” blue plastic caddy from Inspiron 3847 can be replaced by Dell metal rails/bracket. In that model user has option to use either plastic or metal. This may not apply to XPS 8930 because the 8930 hdd cage does not have lips to fasten the metal hdd bracket.
